Some varieties are commonly associated with the consort of Krishna(Sita) and others used in worship to Hanuman. There are several types of Tulsi. There is Rama, Vana, Krishna and Shyama Tulsi, among others. Each variety has there own unique qualities much like different cultivars of culinary basil.
